Scale model of a viking ship. 1:25 scale Wooden hull 15.35″H 22.44″L 5.43″W
This Viking ship, dating from about 1000 A.D. was found in 1957 in the bay at Roskilde in Denmark. The wreck was salvaged in 1962, and after a thorough preservation it was possible to carry out a reconstruction of the vessel.
Today the ship is on display at the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde. Kit includes laser cut wooden hull and wooden strips, fittings set, sail, rigging thread, plan and manual.
This kit contains English translation instructions, all measurements in the booklet are in Metric.
Paint used on this model boat kit are: BB#36 mahogany stain and BB#17 Clear Coat. BB#40 thinner/cleaner.
